A Weekend On Long Island Inspired By Barbie ™

Barbie popularity is here to stay! After last year's release of the Barbie movie generated the viral Barbiecore trend we picked out spots that Barbie would love to visit during a stay in NYC and Long Island.

More Barbie fun is happening this year! Celebrate Barbie's 65th with events:

3/1-3/31 - Northport Historical Society: Barbie- The Pop-up Exhibit

3/9 - Cradle of Aviation - Barbie Day - Celebrating International Women's Day

3/9 - Rosie's Vintage - 65th Barbie Birthday Celebration - bring your dolls to discuss history, restoration and even value. Barbie themed confectionary treats designed and baked by Sweet Treats to the Rescue who donates all proceeds to animal rescue. In-story raffle filled with Vintage Barbie items.

8/18 - Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater: Barbie the Movie in Concert

First Stop - NYC!

The first Barbie inspired stop would be Pietro Nolita - 174 Elizabeth Street, NY, NY 10012 which embodies all things pink. The pink hue was inspired by the pastel colors of the Italian Riviera and the postmodern aesthetics of the Memphis group (an Italian design and architecture group founded by Ettore Sottsass in the 1980s). We definitely think she might try the Pink as F*** pancakes 🩷

Second Stop

What's more Barbie than rolling skating?! Continue your Barbie adventure in Nassau County at United Skates in Seaford. Check out their schedule for Adult Skate times, Glow in the Dark, and themed nights.

Third Stop

Hungry from the trip east, definitely calls for a stop at Sundae Donuts in Huntington. The bright color scheme and delicious treats are sure to brighten anyone's day... and we agree we "doNut" want to grow up  🩷

Fourth Stop - stay over

Moving on further east, a perfect Barbie inspired stop is Aqua Beach Hotel in Jamesport. Any Barbie would love the pink accents and the luxe beach vibes. Have your very own Malibu style beach experience for the weekend at this beach front hotel! 🩷

Fifth Stop

A Barbie's trip to the North Fork would not be complete without a stop at Croteaux where they specialize in just Rose´  "We make rosé on purpose, and it is safe to say that pink is our favorite color."
PS. They also have sparkling pink lemonade for those wanting a non-alcoholic experience  🩷

Nightime Stop

For a night on the town, the next stop on Barbie inspired Long Island experience would be to Greenport - find fun dining and music on the weekends perfect for a dance off.  American Beech, The Frisky Oyster, and Claudios would be great venues to try. 🩷
