It's the perfect time of year to start a tradition or continue one- the Huntington/Five Harbors area will be filled with holiday events from the end of November through December.

Give a Child a Smile this Holiday Season!
Drop off new & unwrapped toys at our office (129 Main St. CSH) until Dec. 21st and we will donate them to the Junior Welfare League of Huntington. 

Holiday Fun In The Five Harbors


November 24th

Kick off the Holiday season with the Huntington Lighted Boat Parade which benefits the Huntington Lighthouse. Be dazzled by the beauty of decorated vessels while sitting waterside in designated spots or at a parade venue. 

Celebrate along with the rest Northport Village as they light the village Christmas tree by the harbor and caroling add in some holiday cheer. Winterfest! in Northport includes holiday decorating and carolers throughout the month.

November 25th

The Vanderbilt Estate will  be lighting its Christmas Tree. Be sure to find some time to tour the decorated Vanderbilt Mansion. The mansion will be decked out in holiday decor till the end of December. The Vanderbilt Planetarium will also be running seasonal shows including Season of Light & The Longest Night: A Winter's Tale.

Head on over to Carl's Candies for the Annual Leg Lamp Lighting in Northport. 

November 26th

Shop small throughout the Huntington/Five Harbors Area. While your shopping make plans to gather for these great activities. 
Huntington's Holiday Parade and street festival will be starting off the Holiday season in grand style. After the parade, enjoy hot chocolate, tree lighting, horse and buggy rides and much much more. The gingerbread contest in conjunction with the parade is a must-see spectacle with delicious creations to be judged. 


Throughout the month of December, Madison Ave glitz comes to the stores on Main Street in Cold Spring Harbor. Every weekend enjoy visits from Santa and special musical performances throughout. 

Vanderbilt Mansion will be welcoming visitors to tour the decorated mansion through January 3rd. Special Twilight tours will be given on December 27th & 28th. The planetarium will have holiday shows throughout the month. 

December 2nd

Corky's Holiday Pet Parade is an exciting addition this year for our four legged friends. Parade down main with your pals in their most festive attire. 

The CSH Fire Department annual tree lighting will be held at the waterfront park. 

Santa lights the tree at the Cold Spring Harbor Fish Hatchery. They will be serving cookies and hot chocolate until early evening.

December 3rd

CSH Whaling Museum is celebrating with Holidays in the Harbor which includes two programs including a Menorah Workshop and making sea glass ornaments. 

Friends of Harborfields Library will be gathering to light their tree.

Yuletide Family fun will be had by all at the Walt Whitman Birthplace with fun period wooden toys to play with, face painting, ornament making and cookie decorating. 

December 9th

Join Jingle your way down to Cold Spring Harbor for the first annual Shop-A-Thon hosted by Lucky to Live Here Realty. It will be a great day of treats, shopping and entertainment. 

December 16th

Join Lucky to Live Here Realty for a complimentary workshop and learn hosting tips from the best local vendors including Frank Antonetti of Rust & Gold, Sugar Rush Bake Shop and Samhal Life Design. Spots are limited, visit the blog below for more info on registration. 


Find some holiday cheer with live Holiday performances

All Month, see Annie at the Engeman theater and be dazzled by it's talented crew of Broadway caliber performers. The children's theater production of Frosty will melt the hearts of young and old.

December 8th-10th-  The Minstrel Players of Northport will be performing 21 Christmas Carol.

December 8th-10th, 15th-17th- Carriage House Players are set to perform Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol

December 16th & 17th- the Lynch Ballet will be performing "The Nutcracker" at Huntington High School.
